The Life Roadmap

A roadmap is not a prediction or a rigid five-year plan. It is a living picture of what shaped your route, where you are now, which direction matters, and the next experiment that can teach you something.

A map, not a mandate

Locate yourself before choosing a destination.

Traditional plans often begin with an ideal future and work backward. This roadmap begins with reality. It helps you separate inherited direction from chosen direction, compare what matters with how life currently feels, and create a waypoint close enough to test.

01 · OriginWhat shaped the route?

Name the influences you did not choose.

02 · LocationWhere are you now?

Look across the whole life without turning it into a scorecard.

03 · DirectionWhat deserves more room?

Choose a heading rather than a perfect destination.

04 · WaypointWhat will you test next?

Design a small move that creates information.

Step 01

Mark the roads you inherited

Begin with context, not blame. What people, places, expectations, opportunities, limits, and turning points helped put you on the current route?

Step 02

Take your current coordinates

Rate how aligned each area feels—not how impressive it looks. One means “not aligned”; five means “strongly aligned.” A low number is not a failure. It is a place that may deserve curiosity, support, or a different expectation.

Joy, wonder, creativity, pleasure, and unmeasured time.

Step 03

Choose a direction, not an entire future

Select the one area where a thoughtful change would matter most in this season. Then describe movement in plain language.

Step 04

Set a 90-day waypoint

A waypoint is close enough to act on and meaningful enough to reveal whether the direction fits. It can be a conversation, application, routine, visit, course, boundary, or trial—not a permanent commitment.

Step 05

Name what remains unknown

A useful roadmap makes uncertainty visible. It does not pretend to eliminate it.
